Online shooter newbie help!

I was wondering if there are people here, who are newbie to online shooters %26 would like to help a fellow play online %26 possibly make a clan for inexperienced player? My gamertag is ''dr3y4'' I have shooters like COD4, Orange Box, Halo 3 but I have only played them offline. Any help would be appreciated.:DOnline shooter newbie help!

Basically I'm asking for players who are also new to online shooters so we can be at the same level. Thanks anyway!
The problem is that if you play enough you will become experienced, and you will be forced to leave the clan. Interesting idea though.

Oh, I see. I got my Xbox like a month ago so I`m relatively new, but Ive gotten used to shooters. After about 2 weeks I finally got used to playing first person shooters on a gamepad. I was used to playing them on Wii and PC. Anyways, you probably wont find anyone too new here, but when you`re playing online you will occasionally see people who are just starting off by viewing their rank.

I played GTA4 online free for all %26 was annoyed because it was basically kill, die, respawn. I also played sports games online w/c is easier to get into than shooters because you play somebody 1 on 1.

The kill,die,respawn formula is in most fps I'm afraid. That's why I recommend Gears of war. If you can handle the lag, then it is very fun.
