For all you achievement freaks out there what kind of achievements do you guys hate?Personally I hate crazy multiplayer achievements. They make people play the game differently. That and those ''Do something 1000 times'' achievements. I can't stand those. The Orange Box had the best achievements ever. The type of achievements you hate.
I can't stand achievements like Unreal Tournament 3 has... Seriously, I have yet to meet anyone who has anything close to 100 GS on that game. The most I've seen is 50.The type of achievements you hate.
I can't stand ''Hidden Achievements'' because they lack a sense of wanting to achieve something. Plus everyone jsut goes online and look them up, so they should just go ahead and list all of their achievements.
i hate time consuming achievements e.g seriously ang glithch achievements most online achievements in gears of war glitch.
Personally I hate crazy multiplayer achievements. They make people play the game differently. That and those ''Do something 1000 times'' achievements. I hate multiplayer achievements and achievements that make me collect everything in the game. I just don't even try to get those.
Achievements like ''Play online when 1000 people are online'' for games that have little to no online community. Also achievements like ''Collect all the -insert item-''.
Achievements like ''Play online when 1000 people are online'' for games that have little to no online community. Also achievements like ''Collect all the ''.
Ya pointless achievements like that and the stupid ''collect an insance amount of some stupid item that has no significance gameplay wise''.I like games where you can earn a good 400-500 points just by one playthrough. And have the rest be those ones that you will have to put a little extra work into it to get them.COD 4 and Mass Effect are the only games I have played so far that do this well.
Spend x amount of time playing the game, and online play achievements. Some games have horrible online play :\
That achievement on DR where you have to play for a whole day, people have lives you know! I also hate secret achievemnts.
Achievements like ''Play online when 1000 people are online'' for games that have little to no online community. Also achievements like ''Collect all the -insert item-''.
I completely agree. In GTAIV I hate the ''Collect all the hidden packages'' one. I myself am not going to bother with that, what's the point? It's not like it effects the gameplay in any significant way, it's just boring.
BIA: HH has some seriously stupid Achievements. Gearbox so obviously ran out of ideas and decided it was a good idea to put in game-play time Achievements. There are four, all to do with playing the game a certain amount of time for example:
OBSESSIVE:While connected to Xbox LIVE, play the game for once a day for 100 daysI mean seriously what is that all about? Still that is a fantastic game regardless of the crazy Achievements.
Secret achievements, ok they give you satisfaction when you randomly get one, but when you've never gotten any its probaly the most annoying thing ever!!!11!!

However I wouldn't mind achievements for it if you got a small 5 pointer for every 10 pakages or something. That way you can atleast get like 15-30 GS just by finding them as you play the game.
I can't stand ''Hidden Achievements'' because they lack a sense of wanting to achieve something.
Secret achievements, ok they give you satisfaction when you randomly get one, but when you've never gotten any its probaly the most annoying thing ever!!!11!!
Secret achievements are usually related to the Story. That's why they're secret; to prevent spoilers.

It's usually stuff like ''Unlock this gun, and surprise its an achivement!'' or ''Surprise you got a 50 note combo!'' (These aren't the actual achievements, but somewhat related.) Show me a few secret ones that hide spoilers, but if you do just be sure to tag them as spoilers and from what game so i don't ruin something for myself lol.
I hate games that ONLY have secret achievements, like Dynasty Warriors 6. And Guitar hero 3 has pretty hard and time consuming achievements, but at least that would be a little fun getting them.
