i just got a message that simply read
'message me back for infection'
-random gamer-
the profile it was sent from is not on my friends list, has no friends on his account, and while his gamerscore shows a number of points, when i compare games it does not show that there are any points at all or that the account has ever been used to play a game.
this has me very worried, if anyone has any information or has run in to this, please let me knowi just got a very strange message, has a ...
Wll, if you don't know the person who sent you the request I'd say it's best to just decline.i just got a very strange message, has a ...
i normally would too, but unfortunately my little brother replied before i saw it. i've changed the password and i'm hoping it's enough to keep anything from happening. anyone have any tips for what to do if you fear you've been hacked?
In case you didn't know.... Infection is a popular Halo 3 mode. And the fact that he did have a gamerscore but when you checked he had no games, probably meant there was XBL connection issues. I wouldn't take it so seriously... then again, you never know.
Relax, You played with someone in Halo, he has no friends, he looked you up in his players history and sent you an invite. Also its possible for someone to block their achievements so that you cannot compare but still look at their overall score

So a guy you played with once wanted to play infection.

I've been invited by random people I've only played with once before.
It's odd, but it happens.
Relax, You played with someone in Halo, he has no friends, he looked you up in his players history and sent you an invite
possible, and i certainly hope so. it's just odd, as i haven't touched halo in months. nobody else seems too stressed about it though, so hopefully i'll be good ;)
I don't think it's anything to be worried about and if you haven't blocked communications with them then I would go ahead and do that just for extra measure.
He has no friends, and his games have no score because he set his privacy so noone can see them. I got friends that do that. Its just blocked. Dont worry about it.
hmm...i hope soi just found some other random person who got the same message on the xbox forums. :\
