i felt down by the game because the gunplay felt like it could be better and the story felt like it was going no where, plus the lots and lots of driving. but now i really love the game due to the fact the story feels like its going somewhere.! im about 60% through the story and my playtime is about 25 hours. nice!Far Cry 2 who liked it?
I really enjoyed Farcry2 alot, its far from perfect but still alot of fun to be had. The singleplayer is good, with niec graphics, amazing sound and pressentation. The gameplay also is pretty good, even if it gets a tad repetativeThe online is fun but not great. Now for hte map editor, its fantastic! Can make some pretty cool maps i must say!Overall it deserves a 8.5 or 9/10 imo!Yes it has some problems but it also has alot of good things going for it.
I thought the game was ok... great graphics, great animations, the immersion is awesome... but I dislike having to drive and walk around for most of the game. It's really boring in between...and many of the missions are exactly the same. It's not a bad game, but it could have been so much better.
dirty game. the best gunplay i ever experienced in a fps. im still playing it. i like all the driving, contrary to popular opinion (or belief, u never know) cuz it immerses me well. and i dont mind all the people shooting at me because the shooting is so fun, and ur never in a shortage for ammo or 'nades, so i go all out all the time (whereas in other fps i play extremely conservatively).
rented it. hated it.
i think its a great game...i love it actually it made me a big fan of the series...i just love the whole play how i feel like playing single player and the online is great to me as well..well it may have some bugs but overall its really fun and thats what counts
i did not mind it it was not to bad i guess
it was one of the most unique FPS's i have ever played, and prolly one of the best
Bought it for my PS3 and loved it. It isn't perfect and the flaws seem to shine in the huge world, mostly people find it gets tedious. I think it was worth buying, excellent long single player and pretty immersible multi-player.
thats 1 game im getting for sure
I loved it, and the multiplayer is awesome too with the map editor
I'm only a few hours in but so far I'm really enjoying it.
My expectations were set too much in comparison to Far Cry 1 ( which I liked better btw ). But since they're both different games, I felt that Far Cry 2 could have done waaay better with single player and less on the point A to point B tedious travelling. I do like the map editor. Its the $h!t.
i haven't played it yet, but i intend to purchase it soon
I'll be getting it for free the day after christmas. It looks good but it also seems rather glitchy from what i heard.
Good game, great graphics, Ok (ish) story, driving works well (too much of it though), great multiplayer and map editor.
Loved it. Story picks up heavy from the midway point on but you MUST pay attention which is a given for me, but all gamers have different tendencies. Other than that, shooting was completely top-notch and the weapons wearing down and the 'scarcity' of ammo depending on how you played set the atmosphere. Including all the small inputs it rounded up to some spectacular.I hear the whole Assassins Creed argument but to me its an easy way out. Like AC, yes there was completely repetitive missions but thats not the key to making / destroying the game. The way you decided to tackle the mission was the beauty in the game. If it felt repetitive, it was completely YOUR FAULT. But then again, this is just my argument and your welcome to feel however you want.
