DNS Failed IP problem ...

I can't seem to connect to XBOX LIVE I have DSL and a router on one comp and I'm using an ethernet cable from the 360 to my other PC and I keep getting this error. It says DNS Failed. Can anyone help? Thanks. DNS Failed IP problem ...
it happens. For me the way I resolve it is unplug the ethernet with the xbox still powered and plug it back in, go to sign on and it works. DNS Failed IP problem ...
Still no luck it doesn't work ....
Try unplugging your router, leaving it for about thirty seconds (If it has a power switch, hold it for a few seconds, to clear any residual power).

Plug it back in, and wait for your network to reconnect, you should be good to go. It happens to my 360 quite often (around once every couple of months).

IF that doesn't work, try resetting your router to factory settings, using the reset swith on the back. You'll need to reset your network settings, including passwords and encryption, but it should solve any network problem you might be having.
