connecting to live problem please help

yesterday it was working fine now i try to connect it keeps saying your ISP setting is wrong i tried everything restarting the modem and the xbox but it keeps saying the same thing when i try test connection???? :?please helpconnecting to live problem please help

i have the same thing....that the ISP is blocking the acces to live. dunno what to do anymore.btw whats ur error status code? 
try a direct connection to your modem. Maybe you just need to restart your router.
I know this isn't going to help but the same thing happened to me. of all days it was on tuesday morning. monday morning I played just fine, but nope, tuesday it gave me ip failure every time. ps3 worked fine though so I know it's my xbox. I don't want to say that it's because of the nxe launch, but it is mighty suspicious that all of a sudden I'm seeing this problem from a lot of posts -amongst others. and the fact that monday I was ok but not tuesday? hmm... anyway, the replies I'm seeing is that check your ip address, router, and nat to see if it's open and able to be shared, sometimes the sharing actually makes whatever type of router or set up not work; because the xbox then, I figure, competes for the signal with whatever else is using it, anyway, check the ip address numbers and look online for possible others that you can try, some people by changing their numbers make it work...also, if you have an option of trying hooking it up to another service -friends house, etc- that might also tell that your system works, but something in your home setup is not...anyway, not much help, but just google ip failure and you'll see what I'm talking about...I still can't get it to connect, but at work I can -but don't want to now seeing that nxe is bunk....good luck.
the thing is that...its giving me a router error when i dont eaven have a router....i have 2 ethernet adaptors on my pc and i only share the internet...so dont know what to restart....just repair the connection...wich i tried many times but i get the same thing..
