20GB vs 60GB vs 120GB

I am a fan of more space...when it is needed.I've had a 360 since launch (20GB) and haven't even gotten close to filling it up. I have gotten to like 1GB but that isbecause I have alot of demos and videos and what not. But that was easily solved by doing a quick clean up and deleting what I don't play anymore or watch anymore. Is their a reason why we should be upgrading? Has anyone actually filled up their 20GB content that you won't get rid of? Has anyone actually filled up their 120GB of content they don't want to get rid of?I feel this more space for your harddrive is a scam. Please prove me wrong.20GB vs 60GB vs 120GB
The ability to download games directly to the drive to speed up load times and fix small glitches in the process.Do I win? 20GB vs 60GB vs 120GB
How does that make a 20gb better than the 120gb?
I also have the 20GB and never have it completely filled. I get within a few GB then have a clearout of old demos and videos. The 60GB might be worth getting, but I really can't see why a 120GB would be needed.A larger HDD would be useful if you have a US account, since US Live has a lot more films and content worth downloading compared to other regions.

^^ this guy wins
As soon as the option to download disks to the harddrive and play them from there becomes avaliable, the people who use it will find their harddrives very, very full.

I'm not even going to bother reading what you said. Isn't it just common sense, the bigger the hd the better. Why would you prefer a smaller one?

I would prefer the 60 gb more space but not too much space. Just enough breathing room.
I jsut got a 20gb, for $299. I don't need the 60gb version. But i'm going to get it. why? They're dropping the price. I might as well. Return, wait a few weeks, rebuy.Or ... get an arcade (oh noes the horror!). Its only two buckaroos after the price drop. when i need the gigabytes (all i do is game offline, no time for anything else) i'll grab a cheapo 20 gb slap on.

You seem determined not to buy a standalone HDD or a new console, so why the thread? In case I'm mistaken:I find it hard to believe that you haven't heard of the Fall update. It will allow people to copy their games onto the hard drive, among many other features, which will take up massive amounts of hard drive space. If that, coupled with Xbox Live Originals and Xbox Live Arcade titles, isn't enough to make you think that more space is worth it, then nothing will be.
The 120GB is good in that it comes with the elite, but to buy it seperately is stupid unless you're gonna fill it up, I've only taken up about 20GB so far on mine, now that you can get a 60GB model, 20GB are practically useless now.
A quick question about hard drives. I want to upgrade to the 60gb version as I currently have the 20 gb model. Is there anyway to transfer the information on my 20gb hard drive to the 60gb hard drive?

I think 20gb is more than enough. I stream all my music from my computer, I have xbox originals and xbla games and I have 9 retail games and demos. I've still got 10 gigs free, and the system came with only 14 free. If the 360 had forced game installs, I think you'd need a massive hard drive depending on what type of gamer you are (buy one game a year or like 1 game a month). From reading about the PS3, it seems like installs reduce a 4 second 360 load to a 2 second load. No thanks. I can live with two seconds. Not to mention that with this new install games to HDD, and HDD will be maxed out pretty quickly. A DVD can hold like 9 gigs. Even the PS3 doesn't install 9 gigs, the install all top around 5gb. 9 gigs... thats like 5-6 games on a 60gb assuming all 360s use 6gb for system files and OS.

As soon as the option to download disks to the harddrive and play them from there becomes avaliable, the people who use it will find their harddrives very, very full.
I never heard of XBOX doing this feature.
It's part of the fall updateAll games will be able to be copied to the hard drive to speed up load times and to fix some of the smaller glitches
I don't think this will be big. I mean, when you install a PS3 game, its like 4 second loads are now 2-3 second loads. Thats not major. Is that really that annoying? Not to mention that a DVD can hold 9 gigs. I think the first time someone with a 60gb installs a game and sees that they just lost 9gb of HDD space and all they game was worthless load time reductions... that will also be the last time they install a game. For my 360 games, it takes longer to go through all the logos than it usually does for me to navigate the start menu, load a game save and start playing it.
