4 from what i have experienced with the pc version. im guessing its the same for the other versionscall of duty 5 question
zombie mode is 4 player.

It depends, if u want to do coop zombie mode on 1 console then its only 2 player. But if u go on live u can do 4.

Though this is a good idea and all but people wont listen anyway. I've been curious how do you get the better weapons? Do shops start selling better weapons as you level up or what? Also yes i've explored and found better weapons but i want more weapons.
I wonder if this will even get stickied? Also, is this specific to the Xbox 360 version or is this for all platforms?

I bought my 360 yesterday with fallout 3 and have played a good 7-8 hours on it. The game has frozen twice on me, is this normal? Both times i was bunny hopping so maybe that had something to do with it.

and my second question, in the quest blood ties, where do i find the hiding place? i found the place called 'hamlton's hideout' and searched the dungeon, but didn't find anybody or anythign interesting. can someone help?

Be prepared there's loads of traps. Also i doubt that killing her will do anything. I never had to speak to her after she gave me the letter.
I see both markers down south for monument and museum, but I'm having problems reaching south. Which metro tunnel leads down to the monument or museum. My stats are off pretty bad. I'm already lv 7 doing side quests and all my skills are now 30pts tops. 75pt is a long way unless if the points are refundable.

Ripped off buying the Hope Runs Deep the ...
I just went on the Marketplace and bought this premium theme for 250 M$ points. It started to download, hit 1%, then told me the download couldn't be completed. It gave the error code 80070570. I read some threads online, and I heard that this code means the content is no longer availible, but is still listed on the marketplace. I think in CoD5 They should change the ranking system up a little. I think they should have social matches and ranked matches. Social would be the one where you get all the prestige's and stuff and you get points towards your rank no matter what... Ranked play lists should be where you have to actually win to rank up. I think that would give CoD5 more replay value and make it an all around better game... It would also be cool and more competitive if they could some how incorporate clan battles in the game with out having to use gamebattles.com because it is an inconvenience to have to schedule matches and take pictures of them..Call Of Duty World At War improvement Id ...

For some reason my screen gets all glitchy when I call in for the recon. All the sudden my screen starts bumping up and down.Another problem I have is that there is nothing after getting the ''dogs.'' It should restart if anything, thereby making the 10th consecutive kill another recon. I sometimes go on 15-20 kill sprees, and I should be rewarded properly for that.

clans? I don't play in a video game clan, and honestly I don't know anyone who actually does.
But I do agree on the ranked/social aspect, except make it so that ranked is unlocking weapons and prestiges, and social is just where you can play with friends on splitscreen.

At the end of Relentless it says to regroup with the squad but the mission never ends. Am I missing something? COD WaW glitch

orange box ntsc works on pal!?
a few days ago i recieved the orange box through the post from my rentals service and i noticed the disc said ntsc and had T-M as the rating. as i live in the Uk i thought it was strange but i tried it and it worked! i thought you could not play usa games in the uk so i was shocked this worked. anway my questions are:1. has this happened to anyone else2. is it just this game or can i start importing games from the usa for low prices any help appreciated

today i was in gamestation looking for a 120gb hdd and cam across a xbox live starter pack hich had a 60gb hdd, headset, etherent and 3 month xbl all for ?0. i bought it even though i didnt need most of the stuff but the price was just too good. pre-owned 60gig ones are ?5 so i was pretty pleased. even though i wanted a 120gb i think this will be enough for installing my games etc. so if anyone needs a new hdd or xbox live get this!

Portal is a short game, and that's all it really needed to be- it lasts around 2 to 3 hours on your first try, if not a but more. If you play in one sitting it can be a pretty amazing experience the first time. I haven't played too much of Team Fortress 2, but it's pretty fun, I just die a lot. I'm guessing you have to play it longer because there seem to be a lot of things to learn. Also, can I ask why it matters if the French is first or not?

Fable 2 Achievement problem
Hmm, I need some help getting two achievements. One being ''The Duellist'', I understand I have to chain together an attack, indicated by a blue swing. I've put that together for about a chain of 7 and still didn't get the achievement? What am I doing wrong? Same with The Romantic, take them to their favourite place, do their perfect fav. expression, no achievement. Is that just a bit, random or am I doing something wrong? I have my 360 hooked on HDMI and when I was in the old dashboard, My screen was in regular widescreen but now when i got the new update my screen went from wide to just full...? The worst part is I also lost my audio...? Whats going on? What do you think of the new XBox Live E ...
Now that you've had a few days to screw around with the new Live Experience, what do you think? Personally, I think it's awesome! The service is finally starting to live up to it's full potential (and be worth the subscription fee). NetFlix is great! The new interface is cool although it take some getting used to. The party chat feature is cool too. The avatars are fun for about 20 minutes and then they get boring. I hope they come up with more games and other purposes for the avatars. Overall, I give the new service a B+.What do you think of the new XBox Live E ...
to tell you the truth, I really don't like it, I'm not a fan of the whole avatar thing and someof the other features don't work well imo. I'm still having trouble navigating the menus but I'll get used to it soon. I think the netflix thing is a great idea but all ofthe movies I want to watch won't be available until a short time before christmas. Installing games onto the HDD is a waste of space too, it onmly works well with a few games, it is really unnecessary for everyone to install all of their games onto the HDD, then Microsoft will want you to buy the larger HHDDs for more money. owell, that's just my opinionWhat do you think of the new XBox Live E ...

same risk as any other new console, they dont build them differently they just dont inlcude a hd, the high def component lead or a head set, everything else including 5 games, a memory stick and even wireless pads - they only used to give u the consoles, a scart lead and a usb wired pad back in the day thats it when they were called cores so its a improoved package if you have an existing xbox and want a new console
Yea you should, I did that as well. My first console broke on me and I bought the Arcade already gave the hard drive.
You shouldn't have any problems. I got the RROD and had to send my console in but I kept the hard drive. They ended up sending me a new console. I plugged my old hard drive in and it worked just fine. Everything transferred and I never got the RROD again. Good question, bro. I'm sure a lot of other people are curious about this too.

So maybe the new Arcades, as well as 60GB PRO units are much more reliable. I mean they all are using up-to-date hardware inside so I think buying an Arcade you'll be good to go. I only traded my Arcade in for another one because the drive was making noises when I set it up.

Ive been trying to connect my 360 to my computer. I found out you have to bridge connections in the control panel to get it to work, the only problem is that whenever I try to do that, my copute wn't let me highlight 2 things, only one. I just got into the free netflix trial. I am wondering where it tells you if they are available in HD. I want to try it out but I dont know what to put in my list. HD streaming is available right? I mean it hasent been delayed has it? Thanks for any help/info.netflix nxe help

From what ive seen when trying it out, once you select your movie it will determine your video quality.. and if it is 3 or 4 bars, it will stream in HD if HD is available for that film. I dont think you can tell beforehand though.. but i could be wrong
i noticed TV shows are mostly in HD. We watched Ratatouille (sp) and Meet The Robinson's for the kids and they were SD quality. Nothing really special. Netflix.com FAQ's say they deliver in HD depending on your internet connection. Got a good connection, get better quality. However, on their website they don't even distinguish whether or not a movie is available in HD. Does any of that help? I'm kinda frustrated too.

And if you do get the RROD, I think the warranty is 3 years? So basically you'll get a brand new core (xbox with no hard drive). help with netflix
i downloaded everything, have an account, my xbox is set up to get instant movies, when i choose movies to instant queue, it doesnt go to my xbox, my xbox screen just says go to netflix to watch movies. and no they dont say not available for xbox. anyone have any ideahelp with netflix

sorry for my attitude BUT I AM VERY PISSED OFF! i wanted to download a couple of songs for Rock band 2, so just today harmonix sent me the code for 20 free songs. i got the code correct 2 times and i was gonna go download metallica, and it said ''device full'' when i dunno why, i had 2.0 gigs left :question: so i delete all my demoes and got 6.8 gigs free it still had 40 MSP left, so i went and entered the code....AGAIN!it said it was incorrect, try again... i try another 10 times... i check it letter by letter, number by number... I EVEN HAVE IT MEMORIZED OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD! BUT IT DOESNT WORK!!!i havent already used it, because otherwise i would have more than 40MSP, and the game wouldnt be asking me to add microsoft pointsso.......................... I mean true, you can for the first time have a chat room with other players that can occur regardless of what game you are playing, but I find that it is more inconvenient to join my friends' games given that usually I not only have to join their game but then I have to hit the guide button again and navigate to join their party so I can talk to them. In addition, if you are by yourself playing a team-based game, due to the possibility that your teammates may be in their own party together increases the liklihood of no one responding to you, let alone even hearing you. You may still be able to join their party, but only if its open. I do find that people playing by themselves should stick to Free-for-all game modes but sometimes they aren't for some people.

I have been thinking about starting to game with headphones recently as I have been on shift work so im gaming late at night and I am waking up my wife.....problem is....if im wearing headphones, how am I going to be able to use the headset? some games I have played only play the voices through the headset.....is there a way to set it so it always comes out of the speakers?heres what I'm thinking.....wear the headphones on my head to listen to the game, and simply have the headset around my nec so I can use my micanyone had troubles or anything with this type of situation?Question for those who use headphones wh ...

i forget exactly how to get there but in the xbox guide under personal settings i believe there's an audio or headset option where you can set it to come out of the headset only, the tv speakers, or both.
Yeah make it come out of the tv speakers so you can hear them through yoru headset as well. Though of course if you actually want to talk or discuss things yoiu'll have to pick up the xbox headset and talk through the mic.

That's interesting but a lot of people don't sit close enough to their TVs to make use of headphones. It's better if you set your audio controls in your game and use like a wireless headset.
I put the mic around my neck a couple times and changed the settings to ''play through speakers'' and then off I went. Now if I ever want to use the wirelessmic and headphones (I use the bose around ear headphones (best headphones ever, actually)) I just put the headphones right over the mic, and sometimes I keep the settings on ''play through headset'' and sometimes I change it. Works both ways.
well the way I do it is, I have a pair of head phones that are not attatched to each other only by a coord, so I take one ear of the head phone and put it in one ear, then put my head set on the other ear.if that makes sense lol.
If youre talking about music then put your headset on and then one headphone in whichever ear isnt covered by the headset. If youre talking about voice chat then I dont know how to help you there honestly.
the best way would be to get a gaming headset. i picked up the tritton ax360 off amazon for around $100 and now prefer headphones over my speaker setup. you can chat whilst gaming and get true digital surround sound. pretty cool.
ok so just to clarify....I can get the voice chat audio to come through my speakers correct? Basically...im playing in our bedroom and so the TV is only about 6 feet away and I have a nice pair of bose headphones that have a looong ass cord on them so they will work fine.....so heres what im thinking........wearing the headphones, and when I want to chat on xbl....I can just put the xbox headset around my neck....that way, the mic will be there for me to speak into....and I can still hear the other people talking through my speakers which are then connected to my headphones.....

I for some reason cannot figure out how to have the game audio and voice chat to come directly to the headphones only and NOT through the TV speakers as well. As of right now the Chat and game audio are coming through my headphones which is nice but the game audio is also coming through my TV speakers but not the chat. I would like to have nothing coming through the TV speakers and have the game audio and chat only come through the headset. Can you give me the steps to do this? I know it must be a setting on the Xbox dashboard. I know how to get the chat to come through the headset but the game audio is still coming out of the TV and the headset. I go Personal Settings and then I select Voice and it gives me the options to have the voice chat come through either: the Headset, TV speakers only, or both. I have the Voice chat coming through the headset so I don't hear it coming through the TV which is nice but I still can hear the game audio coming through the TV speakers. Right now I have the RCA plugs from the Xbox coming into the female RCA jacks which are connected to the front of my TV where I have a set of RCA ports. Not sure if this is the problem. Ok folks you just simply need to mute the TV or turn down the volume. Then the sound will come through just the headset and not the tv. later
What I did was buy a 3m 3.5mm extension cable and run it from the TV to my couch. Then I got my wireless mic and hooked the rubber earpiece through a button on my shirt so the mic pointed towards my mouth. I set the voce to play through speakers and I was sorted.

i forget exactly how to get there but in the xbox guide under personal settings i believe there's an audio or headset option where you can set it to come out of the headset only, the tv speakers, or both.
Yeah make it come out of the tv speakers so you can hear them through yoru headset as well. Though of course if you actually want to talk or discuss things yoiu'll have to pick up the xbox headset and talk through the mic.

That's interesting but a lot of people don't sit close enough to their TVs to make use of headphones. It's better if you set your audio controls in your game and use like a wireless headset.
I put the mic around my neck a couple times and changed the settings to ''play through speakers'' and then off I went. Now if I ever want to use the wirelessmic and headphones (I use the bose around ear headphones (best headphones ever, actually)) I just put the headphones right over the mic, and sometimes I keep the settings on ''play through headset'' and sometimes I change it. Works both ways.
well the way I do it is, I have a pair of head phones that are not attatched to each other only by a coord, so I take one ear of the head phone and put it in one ear, then put my head set on the other ear.if that makes sense lol.
If youre talking about music then put your headset on and then one headphone in whichever ear isnt covered by the headset. If youre talking about voice chat then I dont know how to help you there honestly.
the best way would be to get a gaming headset. i picked up the tritton ax360 off amazon for around $100 and now prefer headphones over my speaker setup. you can chat whilst gaming and get true digital surround sound. pretty cool.

Screen goes black
So, I bought a new 32'' Samsung LCD and I just hooked up the HDMI cable that came with my 360 Elite. I haven't played any games with this set up (I used to have just a standard television and I was using the standard plug ins) until I bought Gears 2...and then I was playing like crazy. Well, I didn't have any problems until about a week of playing and suddenly the screen went black, no video, no sound either. The system was running fine, no red ring of death. I restarted the system and everything came up fine. I'm just wondering if it's the HDMI cable maybe? Anyone have any ideas? Has there been any rumors about the HDMI cable that came with the 360 Elite? Any help would be great...and don't tell me it's about to red ring of death on me because I barely play the thing and I only play for 2 hours at a time. Screen goes black

You'll probably spend a good $50.

Hard Drive upgrade question
I am thinking about upgrading my 20GB hard drive to a 120GBHD. But, I was wondering if there was a simple time effeciant way to transfer saved games to the new hard drive? is this even possible. I know you can download any previous content you purchased from xbox live for free. but I have not heard of a simple way tp transfer saves to a new HD. on my original xbox i used the component cables with my SD tv which looked fantastic and allowed me to use the optical out for surround sound. when i tried hooking my friends 360 up to my tv with his component cables that signal was all scrambles since it was trying to run in 480p which my tv doesn't support. i just got a 360 of my own and i was wondering if there is a way to get the component cables to work in 480i or if i'm stuck using s-video for better picture quality and surround sound.360 component cables in 480i

If you have a pretty good PC monitor, you could pick up the Microsoft VGA cables and play in HD through that (720p, 1080i and in some cases, 1080p). The Official Microsoft ones are $40 and have the Optical Out for your surround sound. I use them on a 19'' LCD Dell monitor at work and they work great!

Even if they don't include it in the bundle, they can often offer a reduced price on chart games because you are spending so much more on buying a console and other accessories. If not you can always suggest to him that you could go to another store and try there. Especially in the build up to Christmas managers have some discretion where they can offer discounts to encourage you to buy in their store.
Might be able to get a deal at a particular store, but Micro would never package a game that would sell well enough alone.

I think it's 12:01AM because when I got suspended it let me back on the next morning even though I got suspended at night. And you should have received an email that kind of gives you a reason as to why you were suspended.
It seems MS became sensitive alot because i also got suspended for just putting movie quotes on my bio , my motto : nothing else matter , name : metal 4 life , location : unknown .... i was suspended for a day too [ that was a couple of days ago btw. ] and well....i just find it unfair that someone worse then me going on live cursing the **** out of people and still gets to play while i who was playing COD : WAW on veteran only to find out that i disconnect from xbox live and then i get suspended for one day. -_________________________________________________-

I Feel your pain man , the best thing is to do after the suspension is like what i did....i sended a message to all my friends list to prefer me and that i'll do the same back.:P but yeah in the end , its annoying and unfair.but that's life i guess.

Ah, but Freedom of Speech means that you are free as you want to give and believe your own opinion. It does not mean that you're free to degrade and harass others, there are laws against that everywhere.

yeah it sure does too bad microsoft rules state that you should do such things. and they never get penalized, I've never got suspended but for all this stuff people are tlaking about it all sounds petty and rediculous.

I think it's 12:01AM because when I got suspended it let me back on the next morning even though I got suspended at night. And you should have received an email that kind of gives you a reason as to why you were suspended.

I Feel your pain man , the best thing is to do after the suspension is like what i did....i sended a message to all my friends list to prefer me and that i'll do the same back.:P but yeah in the end , its annoying and unfair.but that's life i guess.

So, I'm planning to get L4D, but I can't decide for which platform. I could get it for PC, my Pc can run it fine in around medium-low setting, but on the xbox 360 It would be running max no problem. I'm going to be putting skate on my 360 in a bit as well[/QUOTE] i thought installing mass effect on the hdd made it worse. it does load faster, but i notice the framerates have gotten worse, especially in the citadel. about gta 4, it's a 50:50 situation. the loading time is faster, framerates improve a bit, but there are more pop-ups than before. the game that has gained most benefit from this install feature in mc:la. after installing it, load time is a lot faster, and so far i've not seen any pop-ups at all.
I pretty much only know of games that you ''should'' install like Fable II, Fallout 3, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, The Orange Box, Rock Band 2, Simpson's the Game, Virtua Fighter 5 and especially Ninja Gaiden II where the initial load is cut by 3 times and in-game loads are pretty much eliminated.

Actually Bungie stated they will not be releasing a patch, as it would require too much re-working of the games's code. No big deal Halo 3 was never too heavy on the load times.
Not like many people play it, but i downloaded NHL 09 to my HDD (5.7g) and it was identical to reading off the disc....if anything the loading was a slight bit longer. EA did a great job of loading from 08 to 09, so the disc read configs must work better than running off the hdd.
Ive installed Gears 2 and when I was inside the worm all the smoke effects were showing up as different size squares and the muzzle flash was a yellow square also.

I believe it was around 23 gigs.
GH:WT loading times have been reduced by alot.

I installed The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Gearsof War 2, Mass Effect, and they have all improved with loading times and frame rate.

That sounds about right. Thing I don't understand is Halo 3 isn't the only game that uses the cache. Most other games do too so why is it ok for them to be installed but not Halo 3?

My Gears of War 2 game was working perfectly for 2 weeks straight. So yesterday I decided to try and install it. After the installing was finished, I pressed ''Play Game'' and now it says ''Disc Unreadable''. I think installing it messed up my game. And yes, I've tried uninstalling it and restarting the console. =(

I'm going to be putting skate on my 360 in a bit as well[/QUOTE] i thought installing mass effect on the hdd made it worse. it does load faster, but i notice the framerates have gotten worse, especially in the citadel. about gta 4, it's a 50:50 situation. the loading time is faster, framerates improve a bit, but there are more pop-ups than before. the game that has gained most benefit from this install feature in mc:la. after installing it, load time is a lot faster, and so far i've not seen any pop-ups at all.
I pretty much only know of games that you ''should'' install like Fable II, Fallout 3, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, The Orange Box, Rock Band 2, Simpson's the Game, Virtua Fighter 5 and especially Ninja Gaiden II where the initial load is cut by 3 times and in-game loads are pretty much eliminated.

Actually Bungie stated they will not be releasing a patch, as it would require too much re-working of the games's code. No big deal Halo 3 was never too heavy on the load times.
Not like many people play it, but i downloaded NHL 09 to my HDD (5.7g) and it was identical to reading off the disc....if anything the loading was a slight bit longer. EA did a great job of loading from 08 to 09, so the disc read configs must work better than running off the hdd.
Ive installed Gears 2 and when I was inside the worm all the smoke effects were showing up as different size squares and the muzzle flash was a yellow square also.

I believe it was around 23 gigs.
GH:WT loading times have been reduced by alot.

It takes around 10 minutes for the computer to transfer the game to HDD - you don't have to do anything further. Then job done. Not a lot of work at all.

I installed The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Gearsof War 2, Mass Effect, and they have all improved with loading times and frame rate.

That sounds about right. Thing I don't understand is Halo 3 isn't the only game that uses the cache. Most other games do too so why is it ok for them to be installed but not Halo 3?

My Gears of War 2 game was working perfectly for 2 weeks straight. So yesterday I decided to try and install it. After the installing was finished, I pressed ''Play Game'' and now it says ''Disc Unreadable''. I think installing it messed up my game. And yes, I've tried uninstalling it and restarting the console. =(

If that really appeals to you, then you're welcome to artificially impose such restrictions on yourself, but there's no reason for the devs to have made that decision for us.It's a shame too, because the core gameplay is actually incredibly fun (bar the horrible controls), I have never before seen some much deliberately wasted potential in a game. Not ever.

Beware of Far Cry 2 technical problems!
Okay people, I just felt that I needed to make this thread for those of you that are playing the game or are considering buying it. Now for starters, Far Cry 2 is a great game. It's extremely fun and if you are a fan of FPS games, this is for you. I just felt like I needed to get that out of the way.Now for the problems, I have noticed that a lot of people online and myself included are having problems with saved files. They can become corrupted very easily in this game and after they are corrupted you are pretty much SOL. I had recommended this game to a friend before I started having this problem, he bought the game and loves it but he said that he also has had this same problem, both of us were atleast half-way through the game when the files were corrupted and unplayable.But now for the clincher problem that I had with Far Cry 2. I decided that after I played through half of the game and that saved file became corrupted, that I'd erase the file and start over, this time using two saved files to ensure that if one became corrupted, I'd be able to go to the other file and play not far behind from where I previously was. I did this and half way through the game, roughly around the same time as the first problem happened, something worse than a corrupted saved file happened. What happened was the ''RED RING OF DEATH''.So now I had to send my X360 into Microsoft for repairs. Now I have had that X360 Elite for almost a year and I never had any problems with it whatsoever. But after playing Far Cry 2, the problems began and eventually caused my X360 to have the ''RED RING OF DEATH''. So this I guess is a warning to all of those that might want to play this game, that it's probable that you will have these same kind of problems.Now I have to decide if I want to play it again and finish it after my X360 gets back, or get rid of the game altogether. This would be an extremely easy decision to make if the game wasn't so much fun to play.Beware of Far Cry 2 technical problems!
I lost a few save files when i was about 4 hours into the game, thus requiring me to go back to an earlier save file and repeat the last 3 hours of progress, so i know this can be a porblem. However i would suggest that your RROD coinciding with your playing FC2 was merely a coincidence. A game would not cause it, prolonged use of your system over months/years would have caused this, due to faulty system design by microsoft.
So by all means go ahead and finish the game, as it is a fantastic game once you get into it. Enjoy.Beware of Far Cry 2 technical problems!

I've heard of the save file corruption problem, but I highly doubt the game caused the RROD...considering RROD is a hardware failure....
Did you turn off while far cry 2 was saving? I havent come close to beating the game, but have never had problems with save files corrupting. Also I highly doubt RROD had anything at all to do with far cry 2, as others have said.

I keep my consoles in extremely good condition, I dust them off frequently and the areas around them, I keep them on an entertainment center, the cords and what not aren't on each other and everything is well ventilated. Which is why I was so surprised that I had RROD. Help with xbox 360 benq disc read errors
I have read through hundreds of posts but didn't find an answer to my specific problem. A few weeks ago I pluged my 360 in for the first time in about 6 months. I had just purchased Fable 2 for my wife to play (brand new) but I kept getting a disc read error. I tried a couple other games (1 played, the rest didn't) and some movies that played half/half. I decided to look around to try and find a solution and came up with a replacement lens. I just got it in the mail today and spent some time switching out my old lens for the new one.Now every time I put any disc in it reads for one or two seconds then acts like there is no disc in the drive. I took the cover off the drive to make sure the lens was functioning and it did. It moves back and forth and adjusts up and down but refuses to read the disc.Is there something I have done wrong in the replacement process? I tried backing out the screws a little to make sure there was good clearance between the disc and the laser but nothing seems to help my problem. Does anybody have a suggestion that won't cost me more money?If I have to spend another dime on this piece of **** it is going straight to the trash!Thanks in advance for anyone that can help Help with xbox 360 benq disc read errors
